No. I think we need to question the world we live in when a simple act of kindness is considered to be “too nice”. There should be no such thing as too nice. We need more niceness in this world. Just because I like to go out my way to make someone happy or put my heart into everything I do for them does not make me “too nice”. It makes me human.

Learn to be human.

Gah. I go back and forth all the time about whether I am “too nice”… most of the time everyone agrees that I am definitely too nice. I don’t want to believe it though. I love giving, and helping, and lifting other people up. I need to be more confident in this part of myself, because sometimes I shame myself in thinking that I’m not bitchy enough, or not selfish enough to lead the life I want. But you know what, I know when to be bitchy, and I know when to be selfish. All those other self-less acts are just right: they’re ME.
