Today I took the plunge,

and signed myself up to be in the running as a board member of the student IAD group on Facebook. Apparently the school is trying to create one for each major via Facebook, but making it a legit resource for students. There would be 2 monthly meetings, and would require dedication for a year. I have never been a part of any of my school or major’s gatherings. I realized that I really need to start working on networking with my classmates, and teachers. My teacher for my big interior design class is one of the department heads, and also runs the internship program. SOOOOOOO… I think it’s a sign that I need to start taking advantage of all the resources, and people that I have at my fingertips at this school. Even if I don’t get a board member position, I still want to be active in the group and attend the meetings. I need to grow up and start setting myself up for nothing but success. First major goal? Internship.

I also went out and bought 4 folders, one for each class… and a magazine file to keep all the folders in, so I can just pull out whichever one I need for the day. There is even room for my sketchbook and Public Speaking notebook. :)
