Trying to cover up an undesirable zit. Yum~
I’m in such a good mood, leave me things in my ask box. Anon, private chat, friendly hellos… anything like that. I’m feeling extroverted, so take advantage of it ;)

At work today, I had a conversation with one of the guards about transgender people, and the people they date.

There was an trans woman in our store. She had an awesome, typically feminine body, but still had a more typically masculine face and voice. I saw her and paid no mind (except to check out her ass, cus it was phenomenal haha) but the guard was so crazy about her. First of all, she kept calling HER, “it” which was a little off putting, but I didn’t want to get into it… I was just trying to work.

THEN, the guard proceeds to tell me about the guy that was with the lady and said he looked so straight, she was surprised he would date a man. I stopped her and said, “Wait… he is straight. He’s dating a woman…” The guard looked at me with crazy eyes and went off about how “it” was a man. Uh….

No. SHE is NOT a man. SHE is a woman, dating a man. By my personal standards, that’s a “straight” couple. But fuck, who knows what he/she/they identify as.. and honestly, why does it matter?! The guard was appalled by my opinions on trans people, and couldn’t believe that I didn’t think it was weird for a straight guy to like a trans woman. Ugh. I just hope the kids my generation raises turn out to be more open minded and accepting of all genders, races, and sexual orientations aka HUMAN-FUCKING-BEINGS, at least… that’s what I’m working towards.

Care to help out a trans woman?

I copied this post off of susan’s

My local radio station is having this contest, “The Breast Summer Ever” in which the company will fully fund the breast augmentation of the winning woman, on a voting system. I just wanted to bring to your attention that anyone can vote, and one of our own, a transwoman named Avery (#4) has made the top ten, causing a but of controversy in our very conservative city. I think that it would send a very strong message, not to mention make her dream come true if she was to win. But there is no way that she can do it without the help of the community. All you have to do is press a button and your vote is cast. As I’m sure you are all aware, transphobia rates decrease with the ability to pass, and just imagine what this would do to her self esteem. you can vote here

Take this (anonymous) quick survey for me, please!

My friend is writing an editorial on LGBT youth suicide rates, and is trying to gather some information on it. Please take this even if you are straight! It’d be great if you could reblog it, too. :)

"…Because California has no interest in discriminating against gay men and lesbians, and because Proposition 8 prevents California from fulfilling its constitutional obligation to provide marriages on an equal basis, the court concludes that Proposition 8 is unconstitutional."
